Sautéed Chard
Quick, garlicky sautéed Swiss chard brightened with a squeeze of lemon—a simple, healthy side that comes together in minutes.
Ingredients

2 bunchswiss chard , stems and leaves separated, stems sliced 1/4-inch, leaves coarsely chopped

1 tablespoonolive oil

2garlic clove , thinly sliced

0.25 teaspoonsea salt , more to taste

lemon , cut into a wedge, for squeezing

black pepper , freshly ground, to taste

Slice the stems off the chard leaves and chop the stems into 1/4-inch slices.

Coarsely chop the chard leaves.

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add the chard stems and cook until they begin to soften.

Add the chard leaves, garlic, salt, and several grinds of pepper, and sauté until the leaves are wilted.
